God is Near

You may feel lost, no path in sight

We feel alone in the dead of night

We try to feel something besides our fear

We do not know it but God is near

When your lonely, hungry, tired, scared

When the road you’ve taken feels too much to bear

Lay your burdens down and release the need to know

Open your eyes. God hasn’t forgot about you.

God is closer than your breath

Breathe in, breathe out, and take the next step

Look up into the sky, what’s that up there?

It’s all of creation shining, to show you, God is near.
